Sustainability of raw materials
We source ingredients of the highest quality from sustainable natural sources.
You only get out what you put in, which is why Ascenta uses the highest quality ingredients. We place great emphasis on sustainability, to ensure that what’s here today isn’t gone tomorrow. The fish oil used to produce Ascenta’s omega-3 supplements is derived from sustainably harvested wild fish stocks (from the herring family – anchovies and sardines) that are closely regulated and monitored by government authorities.
Energy conservation and transportation
We do our part by providing incentives to employees that make environmentally friendly transportation choices such as carpooling, walking or biking to work. We even reward those that own a fuel efficient vehicle and commit company funds toward the purchase of hybrid vehicles by our employees. Office lights and office temperature are programmed to conserve energy. We minimize air travel by using conferencing technology for business meetings, when possible.
Recycling and waste reduction
Packaging for our products is recyclable and all corporate materials are printed on 100% post-consumer recycled paper that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council, a non-profit organization working for the responsible management of the world’s forests. All office printer paper is 100% recycled.
Composting and recycling is a must at our head office and we encourage electronic document sharing and duplex printing.
From the sourcing of our raw materials, to the use of biodegradable potato starch spoons for sampling, we are committed to building a greener future.
